I'm Marshall, but most folks call me MD. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and graduated from St. Edward's University with a BA in Photocommunications in 2015. Nowadays, I call the Chihuahuan Desert of west Texas my home. Utilizing digital and analog capture, I love shooting landscapes, skies, and portraiture.

The primary inspiration for my work is rooted in the spiritual connection I feel to the land and my surroundings, particularly those of the landscapes in Far West Texas and the Greater Big Bend.

I believe in my heart of hearts that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the profound feeling of solitude, peace, and connection to a place whose history extends long before and long after our own existence. I hope my work inspires viewers to explore and examine their own relationship to the natural world.
